Mission Outreach

Sharing Christ With Love Through Community Assistance and Support

The Protestant Congregation at Ocean Reef shares the love of Christ by providing financial assistance to organizations that are supporting and helping people in need that live in our nearby communities. The Outreach Committee reviews applications and prioritizes allocation of funds according to our Community Outreach Guidelines:

  • Located in the Northern Keys, or South Miami area
  • Have specific needs for our donation
  • Faith oriented

Applications will be reviewed through March 3. Site visits are planned during March and April. Organizations may apply here.

Team Timothy

To Bring the Love of God Through Acts of Care

Our purpose is “To bring the love of God through acts of care.” Our mission is to help support the Ocean Reef chaplain in his or her activities that do not require education or training in either religion or counselling. Our “UNIQUE WAY OF LIFE” does not make us immune to the ordinary “slings and arrows” of life. Team Timothy is designed to help provide visitation with a sympathetic ear (including in-hospital, as permitted), practical help with small errands, etc., to the entire Ocean Reef community.

Dear PCOR Outreach,
We are beyond thankful for this donation and very excited to get this project done! Please view a special video thank you from the students! We look forward to showing you completed renovation photos. Big hugs and thank you from all of us at Homestead Christian Academy!

Blessings from the members of St. James the Fisherman. We thank you for your support of our outreach programs over the years. Your donation this year to our God’s Meals program equates to 1,000 meals that we are able to supply to those in need. This donation with others makes our program increasingly robust for the coming year. Thank you again from all of us at St. James the Fisherman for your continuous support of our outreach programs.

Thank you for the generous contribution of $25,000. We want to thank you and the Protestant Congregation for your continued support. We will move forward with the impact window and door project. We appreciate the contribution in Candy Suftin’s memory. I will personally not forget her support through the years.
Stephen - Executive Director, New Hope Corps

Choir Participation

Choral music has enriched the worship life of congregations the world over. Each week, The Protestant Congregation Chancel Choir is a blend of singers from the congregation with section leaders from the University of Miami Chapel Choir. The only requirement for participating in the choir is that you love to sing with a group and can carry a tune! Our Choir Director, Wesley Roy, is an excellent conductor and engaging leader who brings out the best from each participant. Rehearsals are held during the week, and choral parts are often available, allowing you learn the music, even if you can’t attend a rehearsal.
